The Basement Tour #18

I am very thankful for all of your support throughout 2009!

From a year that has seen so much struggle, I myself sense a more kindred spirit forming across this great big beautiful world. I have always been very optimistic, always looking over the rainbow. Even with the Emerald Cities falling to the ground I will traverse the wilds of my own road in hopes of finding a better quality brick...

The Basement Tour #17

I read a great quote from a good friend of mine the other day on facebook. He wrote "The days are marching like jack booted thugs"!
And I thought to myself, man a lot has changed in my life throughout the years, but it seems on a day-to-day basis that not much really does. Somehow this led me to a song that most have either grown to love or hate. Either way Don McLean put together a lyrical masterpiece. The more I sang and played this song the more I gleaned from the lyrics and the more I started realizing why this song became such a big splash!

You can hear it for yourself. Right here, right now! This was the longest song ever to hit the number one slot on the Billboard charts. Which it did in 1972.

The Basement Tour #15

I spent a couple days recording and mixing this track. I figured since we are getting toward the end of the Basement Tour I should throw in one of my favorite locals. I've heard he's a bit difficult, I hope he doesn't come after me for recording one of his songs. I grew to love this song after picking up his album "Closing Time". A true piano man with a voice like a......
